Patient Resources | Endoscopy Center

Atlantic Gastroenterology Endoscopy Center is an outpatient, endoscopic facility specializing in colorectal cancer screening and the treatment of various diseases involving the digestive tract.  Most of our treatments and procedures are performed at our endoscopy center but on occasion we may treat our patients within the hospital setting.

Our center is licensed, Medicare certified, and accredited by the American Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). These certifications are hallmarks of a higher level of care and dedication to our patient’s safety and clinical wellbeing.   We are proud that our endoscopy center was uniquely designed with you and your family member’s comfort and convenience in mind.

Your Healthcare Team

When you arrive you'll be greeted by friendly, knowledgeable staff.  Our goal is for you to feel relaxed and confident about your procedure and we would like to share with you some of the team members you'll most likely meet along the way:

Your Physician

Before we schedule any procedure, you will meet and discuss your procedure with your physician who is a board-certified expert. We'll go over the risks, benefits and alternatives of your proposed treatment plan or procedure. You'll be given an opportunity to ask all of your questions and discuss any special needs.

Registered Nurse

A registered nurse (RN) will assist your physician during your procedure and are specialists in gastroenterology nursing. Our nurses are your advocate during your stay at our endoscopy center — focused on your health, care, comfort and well-being. All of our nurses are certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) practices.

Endoscopy Technician

For gastrointestinal procedures, endoscopy technicians are the vital link between man and machine. Our endoscopy technicians work at the direction of your physician. They ensure that our advanced technologies are used to their full advantage. Each endoscopy technician is certified as a Gastroenterology Technical Specialist (GTS) and a practitioner of Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
